Stuffy nose and a martini...

I swear I haven't smelled a thing in a week...until today. I did my friends hair this afternoon and the smell of the hair chemicals restored a bit of life in me. BTW I have been a licensed hairdresser since '94. I love the smell of perms and hair color.. I can't explain it, it is a comfort smell to me I guess. So I gave her a cut and a color touch up and I was so happy to do it, it made me remember what I am ...I am me! Not just a Mommy, not just a wife... I am me. I am good at something and something that I do all on my own makes me feel good about myself.

Tonight I am going to watch an old Black and White Vincent Price movie with my 12 year old. The good old movies that give you a scare, not a gross out. Though I do love a good gross out movie, he doesn't do to well with them though. It is also Martin Friday! My husband and I started this Friday night tradition about 2 years ago...his is an olive vodka martini and I am an onion vodka, dirty martini...mmmmm....waiting til the kids are sleeping though...

So 2 more weeks until my very first Christmas Craft Fair! Vancouver Island’s 2nd Annual ~ The Gift WinterFest and Family Expo, taking place Dec. 6th and 7th 2008, at the Eagle Ridge Arena, in Langford.

I have even seen commercials for it. I am so excited. I have been to school craft fairs and flea markets, but never a REAL craft fair before. I really hope this all works out. I have a lot of work to do still...clips,
ponies and so much more to make and display...yikes!
